Visualize the Entire Known Universe

Stories from Space

The entire known universe is visualized in the software OpenSpace. Thanks to this technology, Wisdome offers breathtaking space journeys—live in our dome theaters, through inspiring workshops, or in movie format like VAST.

OpenSpace is developed at Visualization Center C and Linköping University in collaboration with researchers and developers from the University of Utah, New York University, the American Museum of Natural History, and NASA.

Explore Space—On Your Own

OpenSpace is free to use for anyone interested—individuals, schools, museums, and planetariums worldwide. Visualization Center C continuously develops the software and creates opportunities for its use in public settings.

Training for Professional Use

In collaboration with Linköping University, Norrköping’s Visualizationcenter offers training in the use and the educational application of the OpenSpace software. The training follows a three-part structure, including an introduction and basic course, advanced sessions, and a final follow-up to assess further educational needs. Parts of the training are conducted on-site at Visualization Center C in Norrköping, while others can be completed remotely online.
