Wisdome – Giving People the Tools to Understand the World and Their Place in It

Rooted in the research conducted at Visualizationcenter C in Norrköping, we create immersive experiences, innovative collaborations, and unique educational platforms.

Together with partners from academia, industry, and the public sector, we serve as a driving force for innovative education and science communication.

We see no limits to what Wisdome can create in the future. But we know that we will be an essential part of it—serving as a hub for curiosity, creativity, and engagement in the possibilities of science and technology.

Wisdome is a collaboration between five leading science centers in Sweden—Visualizationcenter C in Norrköping, Universeum in Gothenburg, Tekniska museet in Stockholm, Malmö Museum, and Curiosum in Umeå—initiated with support from a centennial donation by the Knut and Alice Wallenberg Foundation.

The Knut and Alice Wallenberg Foundation has contributed 150 million SEK to Wisdome through a centennial donation. Over its 100-year history, the foundation has granted 24 billion SEK, with annual funding of 1.7 billion SEK in recent years, to support excellence in research and education. This makes it Sweden’s largest private research financier and one of the largest in Europe.

Together with partners in industry, research, and the public sector, we drive innovative education and science communication.

Marcus and Amalia Wallenberg Memorial Fund

The Marcus and Amalia Wallenberg Memorial Fund supports projects for children and young people, run by established non-profit national organizations, academies, museums, and educational institutions. The fund finances the TellUs project, which operates within the Wisdome framework.

ESERO Sweden

ESERO Sweden is an initiative by the European Space Agency (ESA) and the Swedish National Space Agency, supporting teachers in teaching technology, science, and mathematics—with space as an inspiring starting point. ESERO provides professional development courses for teachers and develops engaging and accessible resources that make learning fun and inspiring for students.

Teknikföretagen

Teknikföretagen is an industry organization representing 4,500 companies within Swedish industry. Their mission is to provide businesses with the best possible competitive advantage. Wisdome collaborates with Teknikföretagen in TÄNKTECH, a creative future challenge linked to space, designed for middle school students across the country.
